  • Sasha (she/her—left) is a white, queer, cis woman. She honors yoga as a pathway to self healing + liberation, as well as collective transformation. She invites a deeper relationship to ourselves, communities, and the world through this practice. Sasha celebrates exploration and personalization of the practice, and honors the student as the expert on their own body. She trained in yoga for trauma with The Trauma Center at JRI’s Trauma Sensitive Yoga program, and continues to learn through organizations like Accessible Yoga. Learn more at sashasigel.com

  • Alishiya (She/They—center) is a Dominican and Indian American queer human. She is the Co-executive Director of a Social Circus, Wise Fool New Mexico, and the co-organizer of a queer yoga community, Be Queer Now. After having unfulfilling experiences with the westernization of yoga, alishiya began consciously centering South Asian voices in yoga communities. During their personal time they love practicing yoga in reverence of their culture and ancestors. alishiya feels passionately about honoring the roots of yoga, believing it to be essential in preserving its authenticity. In their teachings and practices, alishiya invites others to explore yoga as a tool for liberation, honoring the wisdom of our bodies, and reconnecting with the authentic self. They strive for a more inclusive and reflective practice where others can slow down, breathe, and simply exist.

  • hk (they/them—right) is an undisciplined artist and white, jewish, chronically ill, non-binary witch. they’ve practiced yoga since the age of 15 and they began teaching trans* yoga (their first class ever) with sasha for be queer now in 2020. they are curious about bodies, nothing, and their dog, willow. hkgoldstein.com
